By now everyone should have accessed the blog. This is how we will be communicating in ten days, so let's start practicing now!
The bus arrives at PDS at 7:45 PM on Thursday and your children will board the bus beginning at 8:00PM. They must have their passports with them! Please make sure you have the passport with you before you leave the house . We do not board our plane until 12:10 AM. We will text Jon Kidder when we are about to board, when we land in Mexico D.F., as we board the flight to Leon, and again when we land at our final destination. He will be our point person throughout our travel time.
Although it is an overnight flight, we suggest you pack a few snacks for your kiddos to take along. We are not sure they will serve meals on this flight, due to the time, and middle school kids are often hungry any time of day or night!
Our first two days at El Molino will be spent settling in, getting extra sleep, and adjusting to the language. Our camp mates from Silao arrive Monday morning and will spend the week with us in workshops and on the field trips. Our itinerary has us going on many field trips. We will visit two colonial
cities , an archaeological site, a rural school, and a talavera
factory.
If you have questions before we leave feel free to e-mail any one of the staff going on the trip and they will try to answer them. Once we are traveling we will not be able to check our email daily.
